Serpent Temple is a group dungeon in Metin2 that you start from the Serpent Temple base floor. Every group member needs champion level 1 or higher and the repeatable quest Important Preparations finished. You can enter five times a day, and you can reset the count with a Snake Temple Reset item. The run has seven floors, each with its own task, and the order you see on the early floors decides the order you have to use on the later ones. Kill the Serpent Queen Nethis on the last floor and you get eight Serpent Treasures plus one item for your class.
Getting in
- The base floor is reached by doing the repeatable quest Serpent Temple?! from the Serpent Guardian in Yilad Pass, and you have to redo that quest every time you want to enter.
- The run itself is started at the Serpent Statue once every group member has finished Important Preparations.
- The group leader starts the run by talking to the Portal.
- You can enter the run five times a day, and the access count resets at 00:00.
- A Snake Temple Reset item resets the entries back to five.
- You can die ten times during the whole run. After the tenth death you are teleported out, and the same happens if you leave your character dead on the ground without reviving it.
When the run starts you get a timer of 10 minutes under the minimap. You can extend it to 60 minutes with Serpent Dust, where 1 Dust equals 1 minute, so a maximum of 50 Dust can be used.
Sung Mahi's Will during the run
Sung Mahi's Presence increases on every floor, and it shows up as a curse with four stats. The English wiki prints the values per floor as:
- Floor 2: STR 35, VIT 25, RES 35, INT 40.
- Floor 3: STR 38, VIT 28, RES 38, INT 43.
- Floor 4: STR 41, VIT 31, RES 41, INT 46.
- Floor 5: STR 44, VIT 34, RES 44, INT 49.
- Floor 6: STR 47, VIT 37, RES 47, INT 52.
- Floor 7: STR 50, VIT 40, RES 50, INT 55.
Floor by floor
- Floor 2: monsters keep spawning for 6 to 7 minutes and you have to kill all of them. The elements of the first four groups reveal the order of the four element Snake Metins on floor 3, and also the order for the Serpent Shards on the Serpent Heads on floor 7.
- Floor 3: destroy the four element Snake Metins in the correct order. If you get the order wrong, all four respawn. The order is different in every run.
- Floor 4: kill all the Time Serpent Metins and every other monster. The order the Time Serpent Metins spawn in reveals the order of the Serpent Pillars on floor 5, and the number of Ice Bosses reveals the shift in the sequence of the Snake Heads on floor 7.
- Floor 5: kill monsters, collect the Serpent Key and drag it onto the Serpent Pillar. The pillars have to be unlocked in the correct order.
- Floor 6: free the Imprisoned Blacksmiths by dragging the Prison Key onto the jails. Prison Keys drop from opponents during the whole run and only last 30 minutes. Once every Blacksmith is freed and every monster is dead, the Serpent Temple Smith appears and you can upgrade your Gloves without any material cost. A failed upgrade does not destroy the glove, and the free upgrade is once per 24 hours. Talk to the Smith to teleport to the final floor.
- Floor 7: drag the element Serpent Shards onto the Serpent Heads in the correct order. The order comes from the elements spawned on floor 2, shifted by the number of Ice Bosses from floor 4, clockwise. A wrong order resets every Head. Once all Heads are unlocked, Serpent Queen Nethis spawns.
Kill the Serpent Queen Nethis and you are teleported back to the base floor shortly after. During the fight you take a debuff of 20 Sung Mahi STR and 20 Sung Mahi RES.
Reward
After the run you collect the reward from the Serpent Statue. Each player receives eight Serpent Treasures and one item for their class. The English wiki names the class items as the Serpent Jacket, E Serpent Jacket, Serpent Waistcoat, P Serpent Jacket and D Serpent Jacket, all in the craft version. The German wiki lists the same reward under its own item names.
