Sinners2 (sinners2.ro): what you should know before joining this Romanian mid-rate server
Sinners2 is a Romanian classic-style mid-rate Metin2 private server (around 200% EXP, level cap 110) that launched in February 2026 and is currently one of the most active servers in its segment, with roughly 80-90 players online and close to 1,900 people on Discord. If you are looking for oldschool three-empire gameplay with a modern layer of tournaments and a battle pass on top, this is exactly what it offers. I checked sinners2.ro again today (July 15, 2026) and the site loads fully, with fresh patch notes, so the project is alive and being maintained.

Before anything else, a quick disclaimer: I do not play there daily and this is not an advertisement. I put this together the same way I do for other servers, by reading the official site, the tracker listings and the public rankings, so you can decide for yourself whether Sinners2 is worth your time.

What kind of server is Sinners2?

Style-wise it sits firmly in the classic / medium category. The foundation is the traditional Metin2 you remember: three empires (Shinsoo, Chunjo, Jinno), oldschool PvM progression, metin farming, dungeons, and empire rivalry as the social glue. On top of that classic base the team added structured PvP content, which I will get to below.

One thing worth knowing for context: the Sinners2 name has history. There was an earlier edition around 2021 (there is even an old just4metin announcement for a PvM medium server under this name, and the old sinners2.com domain now shows an offline notice). The current edition on sinners2.ro is a fresh start from February 2026, so do not confuse the two when you search for information.

Rates and progression

The headline numbers, as tracked by Nostalgic.gg:
  • EXP around 200%, which puts it in mid-rate territory: faster than official, but you still have to actually play the game
  • Level cap 110, and the top of the player ranking on the official site is already sitting at 110, so the cap is reachable but took months for the frontrunners
  • Classic PvM progression through the level ranges rather than instant max level
For reference on how the population looks: at the time I checked, the top 5 players were all at level 110 and mostly from the Jinno empire, and the leading guild (ShowTimee, also Jinno) had over 25,000 ranking points. So Jinno is currently the strong empire, which matters if you like being the underdog or prefer joining the winning side.

Equipment systems: Piatra Magica, Paznicul Serpilor and Fast Equip

The most distinctive PvM feature is the equipment evolution system. Instead of only chasing drops, your gear evolves along upgrade paths using Piatra Magica (Magic Stones) and progression tied to Paznicul Serpilor (the Serpent Guardian). The May 2026 patch notes on the official site show this system is still being expanded: patch 1.69 added new shield and helmet evolution lines at level 41 (Jotun variants with class-specific versions), and patch 1.68 added a personalization system. There is also a Fast Equip feature for switching gear sets quickly, plus custom Beta maps beyond the standard world.

The fact that patch notes are frequent and detailed is honestly the best sign here. Dead servers do not ship balance passes and new evolution lines.

PvP: tournaments and battle pass

This is where Sinners2 differs from a pure nostalgia server. Alongside open-world empire PvP, the server runs structured tournament brackets in 1v1, 2v2 and 7v7 formats. If you enjoy competitive Metin2 but hate that most classic servers leave PvP entirely unstructured, this is a real selling point. There is also a battle pass system that gives daily play a progression track beyond pure grinding. Whether you consider a battle pass a modern convenience or an unwelcome addition to a classic server is a matter of taste; mechanically it is there and it is optional content.

Population and community

Numbers from the trackers at the time of writing: Nostalgic.gg listed Sinners2 as the most active server in its database segment, with roughly 83-91 players online and about 1,865-1,868 Discord members. That is a healthy mid-size population for a mid-rate server five months after launch: enough for empire wars, tournaments and a functioning economy, without the lag and bot armies of the mega servers. The server is also listed on metin2pserver.info and Arena-Top100 if you want to compare votes and reviews. The Discord is at discord.gg/sinners2.

Is it playable if you do not speak Romanian?

The server is Romanian-first: the site, patch notes and most of the community are in Romanian. However, the website has a language toggle, and there are international players around. If you have played Metin2 before, the game itself needs no translation, but expect empire chat and Discord to be mostly Romanian. For Romanian players this is obviously a plus rather than a minus, since Romanian-primary servers with this activity level are not that common in 2026.

Things to keep in mind
  • It is a private server, so the usual rules apply: no guarantees on longevity, and any real money spent can vanish if the project closes
  • The February 2026 launch means the economy and rankings are established; you will not be first to 110, but mid-rate servers are usually friendly to latecomers
  • Jinno currently dominates the rankings, so pick your empire with that in mind
  • Rates, cap and features can change with patches, so always verify current details on the official site before you download anything
Frequently asked questions

What are the rates and level cap on Sinners2?
Roughly 200% EXP with a level cap of 110, which puts it in the classic mid-rate category. Check the official site for the exact current values, as these can be adjusted in patches.

Is Sinners2 pay to win?
I could not verify the full item shop contents from the outside, so I will not make a claim either way. Ask in their Discord or on the trackers, and if you play there, please post what you found below.

Can I play on Sinners2 without speaking Romanian?
Yes, the client is standard Metin2 and the site has a language toggle, but the community is predominantly Romanian. International players do exist on the server.

Is the server still active in July 2026?
Yes. The site was fully online when I checked on July 15, 2026, trackers showed 80-90 concurrent players, and the latest patch notes are from May 2026.

That is everything I could verify from public sources. If you play on Sinners2, especially if you have been there since the February launch, I would genuinely like to hear how the tournaments and the evolution system feel in practice, and how the shop situation looks from the inside. Post your experience or questions below and I will keep this thread updated.
