Metin2 Core Classes and Private Server Guidelines
Metin2's official gameplay revolves around five core character classes that set the foundation for all classes, skills, and gear. These classes are Warrior, Ninja, Shaman, Sura, and Lycan.

Core Class List

The official Metin2 Wiki lists the five primary classes in its navigation menu and provides dedicated pages for each, detailing skills, armours, weapons, and helmets. Each class page includes a summary of abilities and equipment classes that belong to that class.

Classes
  • Warrior
  • Ninja
  • Shaman
  • Sura
  • Lycan
These pages can be found directly under the "Classes" section of the Wiki.

Lycan Subclass

Within the five core classes, Lycan has a single documented subclass named Instinct. Instinct centres on close‑combat damage and party support and contains seven skills:
  • Crimson Wolf Soul
  • Indigo Wolf Soul
  • Shred
  • Wolf's Breath
  • Wolf's Claw
  • Wolf Pounce
  • Talon Storm
These skills and their functions are detailed on the Lycan class page and in community documentation.

Private Server Considerations

• Private servers may introduce additional mechanics or classes that differ from the official design.
• Administrators should audit configuration files to confirm that only the five core classes are present unless custom classes are intentionally added.
• Regular comparison with the official Wiki ensures that class tables remain compatible with the expected Metin2 experience.

Quick Facts
  • Official wiki page: Updated 24 July 2026.
  • Page count: 16,566 pages.
