Metin2 Leveling Guide: Best Spots for Each Level Range
Leveling in Metin2 is a grind, but choosing the right map for your level makes it much faster. This guide covers the best spots for each level range, what equipment you need, and tips to maximize your experience gain.
Levels 1 to 10: Map 1
The first levels are completed on Map 1. With the skills from level 5 and some starting equipment, you can venture into further areas. Focus on completing quests for extra EXP and items. The monsters here are weak and drop useful materials for early crafting.
Levels 10 to 30: Map 2 and Orc Valley
Orc Valley is a classic early game spot. You will find plenty of low-level orcs that drop useful materials and decent amounts of Yang. It is perfect for leveling up while collecting crafting resources. Standard equipment with +6 enhancement is sufficient here.
Levels 30 to 75: SD2/3 and Demon Tower
At level 30, you can enter the Spider Dungeons 2 and 3. These dungeons offer good EXP rates but require around 60 to 80 Fire Resistance depending on your defense value. You also want Strong against Insects +20 and Power of Fire +1.
The Demon Tower is an alternative if SD2/3 is too crowded. It requires Resistance against Darkness, Strong against Undead, and Power of Darkness +1.
Levels 75 to 95: Grotto of Exile 2
The Grotto of Exile 2 is one of the best leveling spots in this range. It offers a good EXP rate and can be managed well with sufficient lightning resistance. Aim for 85+ Lightning Resistance, Strong against Devils, Defense against Faint, and Power of Lightning +1. The Chucky Chamber is the best chamber in the Grotto.
Levels 90 to 105: The 90s Maps
At level 90, four new areas open up: Cape of Dragon Fire, Jade Bay, Thunder Mountains, and Gautama Cliff. These maps form the central leveling area for this range and completely replace the previous farming zones.
Levels 100 to 120: Enchanted Forest and TR Dungeons
From level 100, you can enter the Enchanted Forest and the TR Dungeons. In these, you are alone on the map with your group and can level very efficiently. The Enchanted Forest requires Wind Resistance, Magic Resistance, Strong against Devils, Defense against Faint, and Strong against Metin Stones.
Levels 120 and Above: Champion Content
At level 120, you begin your adventure as a Champion. Leveling becomes significantly slower, but new ways to gain experience points open up:
Use the right enhancements. Match your enhancements to the map you are farming. Fire Resistance for fire maps, Lightning Resistance for lightning maps, and so on.
Upgrade your equipment regularly. Every 10 levels, update your weapon and armor. Falling behind in equipment slows your leveling speed significantly.
Level in groups when possible. At higher levels, group leveling is more efficient. You get experience bonuses and mutual support.
Complete quests. Quests give extra EXP and valuable items. Do not ignore them.
Farm Metin Stones. Metin Stones are present in most maps and provide experience alongside drops that may be relevant for your progression.
