Introduced in version 15.5, the Pet System lets you hatch, evolve, and level companions that give passive bonuses. It is independent from the old pet system. You can summon a regular pet and a Pet System pet at the same time, but you cannot summon two Pet System pets at once.
Getting your first pet
You start with a pet egg. Eggs drop from specific monsters and chests, and they are tradeable. Right-click an egg to open the Incubator window, where you name your pet. Naming costs 100,000 yang. Names must be between 4 and 20 characters and are not unique. If you skip naming, a default name is assigned.
Eggs have a 7-day duration. They disappear when the time expires. You can use eggs to hatch a new pet, feed an existing pet, or give potential skills to a champion-level pet.
Pet duration and feeding
Pet duration is set randomly when you hatch the egg. Some pets have a maximum duration of 14 days, others up to 45 days. Duration is real time, not play time. It cannot be extended, but it can be refilled by feeding.
Open the pet UI (press P while the pet is active) and click Feed. You can feed eggs and other pets to refill 3% to 5% of the duration. Protein Snack items refill the pet to 100%.
When duration expires, the pet dies. Using a Protein Snack on the pet seal revives it with 50% of its duration. Divine Protein Bites revive it to 80% of its original age. A revived pet keeps its bonuses and skills, but its age resets.
Leveling your pet
A pet can reach level 105, then champion level 30. The pet gains EXP from mobs its owner kills while the pet is active. Each level requires filling four red balls (90% of the bar) by killing mobs, and a final blue ball (10%) by sacrificing items. The Item EXP you get from each item is based on half its NPC price.
If your pet is higher level than your character, it cannot be activated but stays in your inventory. Pets above champion level 1 can only earn champion EXP in Yohara regions.

There are 8 pet types. Types 7 and 8 can only be obtained using an Enchant Pet item, which re-rolls the pet's attributes, stats, type, skill slots, and life. You can identify your pet's type with a Pet Destiny Orb.
Odd pet types (1, 3, 5, 7) have dynamic stat progression that varies between stated values. Even types (2, 4, 6, 8) have static progression with the same increase every interval. HP, Defence, and SP improve from pet level 5 to 105. Sung Ma's Will, Block Penetration, and Precision improve from champion level 1 to 30.
Skills
From champion level 1, a pet can learn a potential skill. A second skill unlocks at champion level 15. You teach skills by dragging a pet egg to the skill slot in the pet UI. The skill is picked randomly from the pet's available specialist skills.
