A guild in Metin2 is an association of multiple players with their own members, ranks, rights, levels, skills, logos, and properties. This guide covers the full system from founding a guild to managing wars, territory, and dungeons.
Founding a guild
You can create a guild from level 40 at the Village Square Guard. Founding costs 200,000 Yang. The character must not have been a member or leader of a guild in the last three days. The guild name must not already be taken and can contain a maximum of 12 characters.
To leave or disband a guild, talk to the Guardian. You will not be able to join another guild for 7 days. You can also let a member with the appropriate permission kick you instead. You cannot kick a guild leader.
Guild levels and experience
A guild can be leveled up to a maximum of level 40. Members donate experience points to level the guild. Guilds up to level 20 use member experience. From level 20, you must use Yang or Donation Tickets, up to 3 times per day.
Each level-up grants a skill point for guild skills, more member slots, and more dragon spirit. At certain levels, the guild unlocks new features:
- Level 2: able to declare war
- Level 3: able to upload a guild logo, domain unlocked (Meley's Lair)
- Level 5: +5% EXP to guild donations
- Level 10: increased maximum member count, able to purchase guild land
- Level 20: tax exemption to guild bank
- Level 21: domain unlocked (Palace of the Dragon King, Akzadur and Balathor's Crypt)
- Level 25: +10% additional EXP when donating EXP for buildings
- Level 30: 10% discount on territory lease
- Level 35: 15% discount on territory lease
- Level 40: 20% discount on territory lease
The guild leader can name up to 14 ranks individually and assign specific rights to each rank. New members automatically receive the 15th rank. The leader has the 1st rank by default and cannot be overruled.
The main rights are:
- Invite: members can invite other players to the guild
- Kick: members can remove other members
- Messages: members can pin messages in the messages tab
- Skills: members can use guild skills
- Combatant: members can join guild dungeons and accept or decline guild war declarations
- Bank: members can use the guild bank
Guilds can declare war on each other. Only the guild leader and members with the combatant check can make such a call. Both guilds must be at least level 2 and need to have at least 8 guild members, of which 1 player is online with the combatant permission enabled.
To declare a war, open the guild window and press the declare war button. Enter the opponent's guild name and choose the type of war. There are 6 different war types to choose from.
Guild skills
Guild skills can only be used in guild wars. They affect the player who activates them. For a member to use guild skills, they need the appropriate right. Guild skills require dragon spirit, which is the resource that fuels them.
Guild territory and buildings
At level 10, a guild can purchase guild land. Buildings can be placed on the territory and upgraded to higher levels. Building levels depend on the guild level: guild levels 1-20 allow building level 1, levels 21-30 allow building level 2, and levels 31-40 allow building level 3.
The guild warehouse and altar of power have their own levels. The altar of power increases the maximum member count within the guild, up to a maximum of 90 members.
Guild dungeons
As the guild levels up, it unlocks dungeons that are exclusively reachable by guilds. Members must have the combatant permission enabled to join guild dungeons. The dungeons include Meley's Lair, Balathor's Crypt, and several Palace of the Dragon King instances at higher guild levels.
