Metin2 Warrior guide: Body vs Mental branch, stat spread, and skill order

The Warrior is the melee class in Metin2. It splits into two branches at level 5, and the choice matters because changing branches later requires resetting your skills.

The two branches

Body Warriors go offensive: direct attack skills and self-enhancement. Mental Warriors go defensive: mental skills and Strong Body for defense. Gameforge's official guide describes the Body teaching as offensive melee skills and self-enhancement, and the Mental teaching as mental skills and defensive enhancement. Earthquake is a Champion-level skill available to both branches.

Stat spread

Warriors use swords or two-handed weapons and wear class-specific armor. The official wiki recommends VIT and STR up to around 90, then DEX. Body Warriors lean on STR because it scales attack directly and feeds Aura of the Sword. Mental Warriors lean on VIT because it reinforces defense and Strong Body. Keep STR and VIT near 1:1 and adjust for your equipment. Body Warriors fight with swords on foot and two-handed weapons on horseback; Mental Warriors favor two-handed weaponry.

Skill order

The wiki's default skill order for a Body Warrior is Aura of the Sword, Sword Spin, Berserk, Three-Way Cut, then Dash. The idea is to get your main damage skill up first, then the attack speed and area skills. Community skill data shows Aura of the Sword gaining the most attack value per tier of any Body skill, which is why it goes first. Private servers change skill balance often, so treat the order as a direction, not a rule.

What to watch

Raising skills to Perfect requires soul stones, and that lowers your ranking points. If they drop far enough you start losing items when you die. Plan your Perfect upgrades around that.
