Walking between maps in Metin2 takes time you could spend grinding or doing dungeons. The teleporter system is the fastest way to move around the world once you reach level 10. This guide covers how the system works, what it costs, and how to plan your travel.
Using the teleporter NPC
Every major city has a teleporter NPC. Talk to the NPC and choose your destination. You can teleport to any unlocked area from any teleporter in a city. The neutral area teleporters work differently: they only lead back to your empire's main city or to Cape Dragon Fire.
You need to be at least level 10 to use the teleporter. If you try before level 10, the NPC will refuse the teleport.
How much it costs
The cost scales with your level. The formula is simple: divide your level by 5, round down, multiply by 1,000 Yang. If the result is below 1,000 Yang, you pay the 1,000 Yang minimum.
Here is how the cost breaks down at key levels:
- Level 10: 2,000 Yang
- Level 20: 4,000 Yang
- Level 30: 6,000 Yang
- Level 50: 10,000 Yang
- Level 60: 12,000 Yang
- Level 80: 16,000 Yang
- Level 100: 20,000 Yang
- Level 120: 24,000 Yang
Destination unlocks by level
Not all destinations are available from the start. Here is when each area unlocks:
- Level 10: Guild Map 1 and 2, Valley of Seungryong, Mount Sohan, Yongbi Desert, Snakefield
- Level 20: Zodiac Temple
- Level 60: Doyyumhwan, Demon Tower, Land of Giants, Lungsam
- Level 70: Red Forest
- Level 90: Cape Dragon Fire
The teleporter in Snakefield is the exception among neutral areas: it can take you to Lungsam instead of just back to the main city.
Cost saving tip
The NPC "Old Man" charges a flat 1,000 Yang per teleport regardless of your level. If you are high level and traveling frequently, using the Old Man instead of the standard teleporter can save you a significant amount of Yang over time.
Planning your travel
If you are grinding in a neutral area and need to return to town to sell items or repair gear, remember that the teleporter in neutral areas always takes you back to your empire's main city (or Cape Dragon Fire, or Lungsam from Snakefield). Plan which neutral area to grind in based on where you want to end up.
For dungeon runs, check which level bracket unlocks the dungeon you want. Demon Tower and Doyyumhwan unlock at level 60, so you can teleport directly there once you hit that level without walking through intermediate zones.
