Metin2 Spirit Stones: Slot Limits by Item Level, the Stone List, and How to Remove Them

Spirit stones are items you insert into weapons, armour, gloves, and shoes. Once inserted successfully, they give a permanent bonus as long as you wear the item. You cannot insert the same spirit stone twice into one item, grades run from +0 to +4 with the bonus increasing at each grade, and spirit stones cannot be upgraded.

How Many Slots Your Item Has

The number of spirit stone slots depends on the item's level:
  • Items up to level 24: one spirit stone
  • Items from level 25 to 44: two spirit stones
  • Items above level 45: three spirit stones
Shoes work differently. Since version 25.2 you can insert spirit stones into shoes, but you need to make sockets first using a Black Diamond Drill. All shoes up to level 120 can have a maximum of two sockets, and from champion level 1 they can have three.

Insertion Can Fail

When you insert a stone there is a chance it breaks. If that happens you get a Piece of Broken Stone in that slot. You can clean a broken slot by upgrading the item or by using a Stone Handbook.

Removing and Replacing Stones

If you are not satisfied with the inserted stones, a Spirit Stone Scroll removes all present spirit stones and places them in your inventory, but it leaves a broken stone mark. A Scroll of Correction removes only the last added spirit stone without leaving any marks.

Where Stones Come From

You can obtain all kinds of stones from the Looking Glass and the Trading Glass under Upgrades, then Spirit Stones. Spirit stones also drop from Metins level 25 and higher, with a few exceptions such as most dungeon metins and Metin Pung-Ma, Metin Ma-An, and Metin Tu-Young. The Mighty Ice Witch drops spirit stones up to +4, and the Mysterious Monk drops spirit and demon stones up to +4.
