Quick summary

Halloween is running in Metin2 right now, and the headline minigame is Yut Nori. The event started on 8 October 2026 and runs until 1 November 2026 at 23:59.[1] You hunt monsters in your level range to collect Birch Branches, trade 28 of them for a Yut Nori Board, pay 30,000 Yang, and play a board game against the computer to earn trophies. Your score decides the reward tier, and the event ends with a ranking that pays out extra bundles.

The game is simple to learn and hard to play well, because the reward tiers are tighter than they look and leaving early costs you everything. This covers the dates, how to get in, the board rules, how the sticks and moves work, the scoring table, and the common ways to waste a run.

Event dates and requirements

The Yut Nori event runs from 8 October 2026 at 0:00 to 1 November 2026 at 23:59.[1] You need a Yut Nori Board, 30,000 Yang, and level 30 or higher to take part. A board consists of 28 Birch Branches, which drop from monsters throughout the world within your level range.[1]

Open the minigame by clicking Yut Nori in the event banner, or press CTRL + E. Each game you play costs one Yut Nori Board.[1]

If you do not want to farm the branches, or you are short a few boards, three Yut Nori Boxes full of Birch Branches are available in the Item Shop.[1]

How to play

You play against a computer. Whoever throws the highest move at the start goes first. The goal is to bring two pieces home, and the first player to do it wins.[1]

Three rules define the game:

- Landing on an arrow lets you take a shortcut.[1]
- Landing on the computer's piece sends that piece back to start. This is called Job-gi.[1]
- Landing on the exact same spot as your own piece stacks them. This is called Up-Gi.[1]

Throws and moves

The move you get is decided by the sides of the Yut Nori sticks. There are six possible outcomes:[1]
  • Do: move 1 forward.[1]
  • Gae: move 2 forward.[1]
  • Geol: move 3 forward.[1]
  • Yut: move 4 forward.[1]
  • Mo: move 5 forward.[1]
  • Back Do: move 1 backward.[1]
If you want a specific move, you can raise the chance of getting it by selecting that move in the menu before you throw. That does not make it certain, it just shifts the odds.[1]

Score and reward tiers

Every game starts at 250 points. The changes during play:[1]
  • Throwing the sticks: -10.[1]
  • Catching the computer's piece: +10.[1]
  • Computer catches your piece: -10.[1]
  • Getting your piece home: +10.[1]
  • Computer gets a piece home: -10.[1]
The final score picks your reward:[1]
  • Under 150 points: Bronze Yut Nori Bundle.[1]
  • 150 to 219 points: Silver Yut Nori Trophy.[1]
  • 220 points and above: Golden Yut Nori Trophy.[1]
There is a rule that trips people up. If you abandon the game or leave the map you are playing on, you get no reward at all.[1] The wiki also describes the Moonlight Treasure Chests that drop during the side events as extremely sought-after trading objects in the community, which is the same logic that makes unopened event rewards worth more than the Yang they would sell for.[2]

Event ranking rewards

There is a ranking for the duration of the event, and the top players collect extra rewards at the end:[1]
  • 1st place: 10x Golden Yut Nori Bundle.[1]
  • 2nd place: 5x Golden Yut Nori Bundle.[1]
  • 3rd place: 3x Golden Yut Nori Bundle.[1]
  • 4th to 10th place: 1x Golden Yut Nori Bundle.[1]
Turning trophies into chests

At the Yut Nori Table you can exchange your boards for Mysterious Shards at a cost of 50,000 Yang. You can also get these shards from the Silver and Golden Yut Nori Trophies.[1]

The shards are exchanged for chests in the refinement window of the table, and you also need a Yut Nori Design, which you buy from the same table for 30,000 Yang.[1]

Every refinement at this table is guaranteed and cannot fail.[1] That is the part people miss: there is no risk here, so the only question is whether the chest contents are worth the Yang.

What the Halloween event adds

Gameforge describes Halloween as the autumn highlight, with the Yut Nori minigame as the centerpiece. Players collect Yutnori leaves by defeating monsters and convert them into game sets, then use tactical moves on the board to earn trophies that contain high-class rewards.[3]

Seasonal events in Metin2 run on real-world holidays and usually last several weeks, changing the look of the main villages. Halloween is one of four big ones, alongside Ramadan, Easter, and Christmas.[3]

Exact times vary by server. Gameforge publishes the current schedule in the in-game event UI, in the News and Events section of the official forum, and on the Metin2 homepage.[3]

Common mistakes
  • Leaving the map mid-game. You get nothing, even if you were winning.[1]
  • Assuming a higher score always means a better reward. The tier boundaries are 150 and 220, so 219 is silver and 220 is golden.[1]
  • Buying a Yut Nori Board without checking you have the 30,000 Yang to play it. The board and the Yang are separate costs.[1]
  • Thinking a selected move is guaranteed. Selecting it only increases the chance.[1]
  • Not checking the server-specific schedule. The dates above are the official event window, but your server's rotation may differ.[3]
