- Ritual of Blood is an annual Metin2 event. You need a level 30 character to take part.
- An Altar of Blood appears in each of the three capitals and at Cape Dragon Fire.
- Complete the event quest at the altar to earn the Blood Sacrifice effect, which lets you collect souls from monsters in your level range.
- The normal Blood Sacrifice caps at 20 souls. The Rare Blood Sacrifice from the item shop caps at 150 and drops souls more often.
- Once you hit the cap, the souls are delivered to the altar automatically and the effect ends.
- One Soul Roulette round costs 50 souls and 250,000 Yang.
- Spend 4,000 souls in total and a special roulette table opens for one hour.
The event is open to any character level 30 or higher. An altar appears in each of the three capitals and at Cape Dragon Fire, and that is where the whole event happens. The Metin2 team's own event post for the 2025 run gives the dates: it started on November 1, 2025 at midnight CET, soul drops ended on November 23, 2025 at 11:59 PM CET, and the event itself ended on November 24, 2025 at 11:59 PM CET. The wiki records the same window.
The quest
Visit the altar and complete the event quest to earn the Blood Sacrifice effect. Each day there are four different quests and one of them is given to you at random. Completing the quest means bringing 10 lots of a certain material to the altar, things like Ice Marbles+, Snake Tails or Rusty Blades.
The wiki describes the same requirement as delivering 10 pieces of an item randomly selected from four possibilities, and those four are set per week. On Sundays any item counts.
Collecting souls
Souls only drop while the Blood Sacrifice effect is active, and the drop chance is low. A status icon appears in the top left of the game window while it is running, and the chat shows "You have caught a soul." when one drops.
- Blood Sacrifice: up to 20 souls, from the altar quest
- Rare Blood Sacrifice: up to 150 souls, bought from the item shop, with a higher drop chance
Soul Roulette
At the altar you spend souls on the Soul Roulette. Each round costs 50 souls and 250,000 Yang. The Metin2 team lists Power Lolly, Small Orison, Time Spiral (20%), Aura Fire Rune (50), Wu Sash (basic) and Hai Sash (basic) among the rewards.
If you have used at least 4,000 souls, a roulette table with special rewards opens for one hour. Alongside the regular rewards it can pay out Dragon Bone Earring, Tiger Bone Earring, Flame of the Dragon (B), Red Baby Huashin, Aura Fire Rune (100) and Aura Fire Rune (250).
The hour is the whole point of that threshold. Whoever unlocks the special wheel should have enough souls ready for several spins straight away, because the table disappears when the hour runs out regardless of whether you still have souls.
Two things people get wrong
- The soul drop ends one day before the event ends. If you wait until the last day to farm, you miss souls.
- Activate the blood sacrifice before you start grinding. Without it active, nothing drops.
