Metin2 jewelry and shields: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, the sockets, and the upgrade costs
Quick summary

Four equipment types sit in their own slots and work for every class: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and shields. Earrings, necklaces, and bracelets each raise one thing for everyone and carry a second attribute that grows as you upgrade them. All three jewelry types have three sockets, unlocked with a Diamond, and each piece takes its own matching gem. Shields trade movement speed for defense and can be equipped with any weapon you hold.

What each jewelry type raises

The Gameforge Metin2 wiki describes the base effect of each type:
  • Earrings improve a status point. Which one depends on the specific earring.
  • Necklaces improve casting speed.
  • Bracelets improve attack speed.
Each piece also contributes a second attribute that increases as the item is upgraded.

Earrings

The wiki's earring table is organised by level band, and each band ties the bonus to a different stat:
  • Level 1 Wooden Earrings: Dexterity, +1 to +10 across +0 to +9
  • Level 8 Copper Earrings: Strength, +1 to +10
  • Level 15 Silver Earrings: Vitality, +1 to +10
  • Level 22 Golden Earrings: Intelligence, +1 to +10
  • Level 28 Jade Earrings: Dexterity +3 to +12, and Max. SP +10 to +370
  • Level 33 Ebony Earrings: Strength +3 to +12, and Max. HP +25 to +1,650
  • Level 38 Pearl Earrings: Vitality +3 to +12, and SP Regeneration +4 to +28 percent
  • Level 42 White Gold Earrings: Intelligence +3 to +12, and HP Regeneration +4 to +28 percent
  • Level 46 Crystal Earrings: Dexterity +5 to +14, and Defence +1 to +10
The first four bands each raise a single status point. From level 28 onward the earrings pair a status point with a second bonus like Max. HP or a regeneration rate, which is why the upgrade cost changes at the same point.

Necklaces

Necklaces raise casting speed and add a resistance:
  • Level 1 Wooden Necklace: Casting Speed +2 to +20 percent, and Fire Resistance 1 to 10 percent
  • Level 8 Copper Necklace: Casting Speed +2 to +20 percent, and Lightning Resistance 1 to 10 percent
Bracelets

Bracelets raise attack speed, and the second bonus changes by band:
  • Level 1 Wooden Bracelet: Attack Speed +1 to +5 percent, and Max. Endurance +10 to +350
  • Level 8 Copper Bracelet: Attack Speed +1 to +5 percent, and Max. SP +5 to +180
  • Level 15 Silver Bracelet: Attack Speed +1 to +5 percent, and Max. HP +20 to +1,200
  • Level 22 Gold Bracelet: Attack Speed +1 to +5 percent, and Poison Resistance 1 to 10 percent
  • Level 28 Jade Bracelet: Attack Speed +1 to +7 percent, and Restore SP 1 to 5 percent
Sockets and gems

All earrings, necklaces, and bracelets have 3 sockets that can be unlocked using a Diamond. To fill a socket, each jewelry type has its own corresponding gem, which the wiki links to the mining page's refined ore list.

Shields

Shields are equipment worn by all classes that increase defense while lowering movement speed, and the wiki states they can be equipped regardless of the weapon used. The shield table by level band:
  • Level 1 Battle Shield: Movement Speed -2 percent, Defence 3 to 57
  • Level 21 Pentagon Shield: Movement Speed -6 percent, Defence 5 to 74
  • Level 41 Black Round Shield: Movement Speed -10 percent, Defence 7 to 97
  • Level 61 Dragon Scale Shield: Movement Speed -6 percent, Defence 7 to 153, and Shaman Defence 1 to 20 percent
  • Level 61 Three Emperors Shield: Movement Speed -6 percent, Defence 7 to 153, and Lycan Defence 1 to 20 percent
  • Level 81: Movement Speed -6 percent, Defence 9 to 163
Note the trade at level 41: the Black Round Shield costs 10 percent movement speed for a bigger defense jump, while the level 61 shields sit at 6 percent. The level 61 shields also carry a class bonus, Shaman Defence on the Dragon Scale and Lycan Defence on the Three Emperors.

Upgrade costs

The wiki lists the Yang cost for each upgrade step. For the level 1 to 22 jewelry bands and the level 1 shield, the steps cost 600, 1,200, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 45,000, and 75,000 Yang. From level 28 jewelry and level 21 shields the steps cost 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000, 13,000, 20,000, 40,000, 70,000, and 120,000 Yang. The level 41 shields and level 46 jewelry use 1,200, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 45,000, 90,000, and 150,000 Yang. Higher bands also start requiring upgrade items from the fourth step onward rather than Yang alone, and the wiki lists those items per band.

Frequently asked questions
  • Can I use a shield with a bow or staff? Yes. The wiki states shields can be equipped regardless of the weapon used.
  • Do jewelry pieces work for every class? Yes. The wiki describes earrings, necklaces, and bracelets as equipment worn by all classes.
  • What is a Diamond for? Diamonds unlock the three sockets on each jewelry piece. Filling a socket needs the gem that matches that jewelry type.
  • Which jewelry type should I pick? It depends on your build. Earrings are the only type that raises Dexterity, Strength, Vitality, or Intelligence directly, while necklaces raise casting speed and bracelets raise attack speed.
  • Does upgrading change the bonus? Yes. Each upgrade step raises the bonus, and the higher level bands switch to bonus types like Max. HP and regeneration.
  • Is a shield worth the movement speed loss? The wiki gives the exact trade, defense up and movement speed down, so you can weigh it against your class. A Shaman or Lycan can also pick the level 61 shield that carries their class bonus.
