Metin2 Aura Outfit System: slot 5, the 250 levels, the rune experience, and the 25 percent cap
Quick summary

The Aura Outfit is a visible piece of equipment introduced in Metin2 version 19.4. It goes in costume inventory slot 5, it can be equipped from level 1, and it grows through 250 levels across six stages. Its whole purpose is absorption: you feed it a bracelet, earring, necklace, or shield, and a percentage of that item's bonuses moves onto the outfit. The cap is 25 percent.

Where it goes

The Metin2 Wiki describes the aura outfit as a visible piece of equipment, like armour or a weapon. It is equipped in the costume inventory, in slot 5, which opens with the costume system button in the player's inventory. Slots 1, 2, and 3 belong to the Costume System, slot 4 is Mounts, and slot 6 is Shoulder Sashes. It can be equipped from level 1.

Getting one

The Ordinary Aura Outfit can be crafted by the Baek-Go NPC with a 20 percent success chance, which can be raised with an Accessory Catalyst. The materials are 1 Intermediate Chaos Stone, 1 Special Dye, 200 Energy Fragments, and 25,000,000 Yang. Alternatively it is sold in the Item-Shop for 650 DC.

The six stages

The aura outfit has 250 levels divided over six stages. The first stage has 49 levels and every stage after it except the last has 50:
  • Ordinary: levels 1 to 49
  • Simple: levels 50 to 99
  • Noble: levels 100 to 149
  • Sparkling: levels 150 to 199
  • Magnificent: levels 200 to 249
  • Radiant: level 250
Experience and runes

You raise the outfit's level with runes. An Aura Ice Rune gives 1 experience. Aura Fire Runes come in bundles of 10, 50, 100, 250, and 500, giving 10, 50, 100, 250, and 500 experience respectively.

Every level costs a fixed amount of experience based on the outfit's stage: Ordinary needs 1,000 per level, Simple needs 2,000, Noble needs 4,000, Sparkling needs 8,000, and Magnificent needs 16,000. Once you have enough experience the level goes up by 1 and the absorption percentage goes up by 0.1 percent. The maximum absorption rate is 25 percent.

Absorbing an item

An aura outfit can absorb a bracelet, earring, necklace, or shield. The absorption rate is set per level and the percentage tells you how much of the item's value transfers to the outfit. The NPC Theowahdan performs the technique: select Aura Outfit, Transmit values, place the aura outfit on the left and the item to absorb on the right, and the final result is shown below. This method cannot fail. If you do not like the bonuses, an Aura Certificate+ removes them.

Evolving the stage

Every 50 levels you can upgrade the outfit's stage by choosing Aura Outfit, Evolution at Theowahdan. Each stage needs materials and Yang: Simple needs 10 Agate and 5,000,000 Yang; Noble needs 10 Regular Chaos Stone and 5,000,000; Sparkling needs 10 Intermediate Chaos Stone and 5,000,000; Magnificent needs 10 Epic Chaos Stone and 8,000,000; Radiant needs 20 Epic Chaos Stone and 10,000,000. You cannot add more experience until you have performed the stage upgrade, and none of the upgrading methods can fail.
