Metin2 gloves: the locked slot, the Glove License, Demon Stones instead of Spirit Stones, and the upgrade materials

Gloves arrived in version 20.4, and they are the one equipment slot that starts locked. You cannot put a pair on until you complete some missions and then use a Glove License. Every class can wear them, and the wiki says all values of the default bonuses are randomly obtained.

The slot and the license
  • The glove slot is locked, unlike every other equipment slot.
  • To use gloves you must first complete some missions and then use a Glove License.
  • All classes can wear them.
  • All values of the default bonuses are randomly obtained.
  • Bonuses can be added and changed once you have a pair.
  • The Glove License page on the same wiki is an image-only stub, so the mission list is not written out anywhere on it.
What goes into the slot
  • The Gloves page lists Demon Stone and Mighty Demon Stone as insertable and says Spirit Stones cannot be used.
  • The Spirit Stones page tells it the other way round. It says spirit stones can be inserted into weapons, armours, gloves and shoes, and that for gloves the term demon stones is simply more common. Its gloves table lists only Demon Stone and Mighty Demon Stone.
  • Demon Stone is listed as imbued with Sung Ma's will for STR, VIT, RES or INT, at +1, +3, +6, +9 and +15 for grades 0 to 4.
  • Mighty Demon Stone carries the same Sung Ma's will line with a doubled bracketed value: +1 (2), +3 (6), +6 (12), +9 (18) and +15 (30).
  • Spirit stones grade from +0 to +4 and cannot be upgraded. Inserting one can break the slot, which shows as a Piece of Broken Stone, and a broken slot can be cleaned by upgrading the item or by using a Stone Handbook.
  • A Spirit Stone Scroll removes every stone in the item and leaves a broken stone mark. A Scroll of Correction removes only the last stone added and leaves no mark.
Level 105 gloves
  • Power Gloves carry SungMa's (STR). Speed Gloves carry SungMa's (RES). Armour Gloves carry SungMa's (VIT). Protection Gloves carry SungMa's (INT).
  • The SungMa's range runs from 3 to 7 at +0 up to 58 to 63 at +9, on all four.
  • Upgrade Yang runs from 250,000 at +1 to 650,000 at +9, in 50,000 steps.
  • Upgrade item 1 is Leather Hardener: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 50, 100, 100 and 200 from +1 to +9.
  • Upgrade item 2 is Leather Hardener+, which only appears from +5: 2, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • Upgrade item 3 is a pearl: White Pearl at +6, Moonstone at +7, Blue Pearl at +8 and Blood-Red Pearl at +9.
Level 120 Serpent gloves
  • The four Serpent Gloves are listed for STR, RES, VIT and INT, and each one carries its own SungMa's line.
  • Defence runs from 15 to 17 at +0 up to 55 to 57 at +9.
  • SungMa's runs from 6 to 10 at +0 up to 69 to 83 at +9.
  • Upgrade Yang is the same 250,000 to 650,000 ladder as the level 105 gloves.
  • Upgrade item 1 is Northwind Glove Stone, in the same 10 to 200 counts as the Leather Hardener ladder above.
  • Upgrade item 2 starts one step earlier than on the level 105 gloves: White Pearl at +3, Blue Pearl at +4, Blood-Red Pearl at +5, Shimmering White Pearl at +6, Shimmering Blue Pearl at +7, Shim. Blood-Red Pearl at +8 and Moonstone at +9.
