Metin2 Energy System: the Energy Crystal, 1000 Yang, 30 Fragments, and the Two-Hour Buff Mechanics

The Energy System is a secondary activity most players pick up around level 30 and integrate into their weekly routine. Energy items provide temporary buffs that stack with regular gameplay, and the system is closely tied to Yang management and resource farming. This guide documents the Energy Crystal mechanics, Yang cost, fragment requirements, and the two-hour buff cycle as described on the Metin2 Wiki and GameAgit guide pages.

How to Begin

- Character must be level 30 or higher to unlock the Energy System
- The Mining skill must be learned by reading the Mining Guide book (one book covers every level; skill caps at P like a normal character skill)
- Higher skill levels increase ore per successful attempt, not the chance of finding a vein
- Energy can be checked in inventory via hotkey: I

Energy Crystal Mechanics

Energy crystals can be purchased from the cash shop in game. Each account cannot purchase more than 5,000 Energy crystals per month; every 1st day of the month, the purchase limit resets.

How to Use Energy Crystals

When you have an Energy crystal, you can use it from the [fishing Done] button to reduce fishing time, or from the [mining Done] button to reduce mining time. According to the item's grade, different amounts of Energy are consumed:

- When Bead of Fire is enhanced, use the Energy crystal to increase the probability of success. Energy can be used in 10 EA units. According to the item's grade, the amount of Energy used differs.
- When Perforation Shot is enhanced, use the Energy crystal to increase the probability of success. Energy can be used in 10 EA units. According to the item's grade, the amount of Energy used differs.
- Each account cannot purchase more than 5,000 Energy crystals. Every 1st day of the month, the purchase limit resets.

Two-Hour Buff Cycle

- Energy crystals provide a two-hour buff duration when activated
- The buff can be checked in the mailbox after use
- When fishing, Energy reduces time from the [fishing Done] button
- When mining, Energy reduces time from the [mining Done] button
- According to the item's grade, the amount of Energy used differs — higher-grade items consume less Energy per action

Yang and Fragment Requirements

- 1,000 Yang is required as a base fee for Energy crystal purchase
- 30 fragments are required per Energy crystal crafting cycle
- Fragments are obtained through monster drops and quest completion
- The more Yang you have, the better items you can acquire through the Energy system

[c]Economy and Strategy[/b]

- Energy crystals are not storable, mailable, or auction-registerable — they can only be checked in inventory
- Each account cannot purchase more than 5,000 Energy crystals per month; the purchase limit resets on the 1st of each month
- Energy can be used to enhance Bead of Fire and Perforation Shot, increasing success probability
- According to the item's grade, the amount of Energy used differs — this is a key strategic consideration for resource management
- Energy crystals cannot be stored, mailed, or registered on auction; they exist solely in the character's inventory

This system is designed as a time-sink and resource-management layer for players who have reached level 30 and are looking to optimize their Yang and fragment expenditure while training skills. The two-hour buff window and grade-based Energy consumption create meaningful decisions about when and how to deploy Energy crystals during gameplay sessions.
