Metin2 Assassin Guide: Assassin Force vs Archer Force, Stats, Skills, and PvP

The Assassin is the most agile class in Metin2, with the highest Dexterity of any class. This guide covers the two force options, stat allocation, skill priorities, and how the Assassin performs in PvP.

Assassin Overview

Assassins are lightly armored but have the highest Dexterity among all classes. They excel at burst damage and stealth. Starting stats are CON 3, INT 3, STR 4, DEX 6, HP 770, MP 260.

At level 5, you choose between two forces:
  • Assassin Force focuses on stealth and precise melee attacks with daggers.
  • Archer Force focuses on range attacks using a bow.
Both forces have distinct playstyles. Assassin Force is better for burst and burst-oriented PvP. Archer Force is safer for farming because it stays at range.

Stat Allocation

For Assassin Force:
  • DEX is your primary stat. It increases attack speed, critical rate, and evasion.
  • STR increases physical damage. A secondary priority.
  • CON increases HP. Get enough to survive burst damage.
  • INT is not needed for this build.
A common spread is DEX 90, STR 50, CON 50. This gives you high critical rate and attack speed while maintaining enough HP to survive in PvP.

For Archer Force:
  • DEX is still primary. It increases attack speed and critical rate.
  • CON matters more here because you are ranged and need to survive counterattacks.
  • STR is less important than in Assassin Force.
A common spread is DEX 90, CON 60, STR 40.

Assassin Force Skills

The Assassin Force revolves around stealth and burst. Key skills:
  • Assassin's stealth approach closes distance before the target can react.
  • High critical rate on every hit makes Assassin Force deadly in short engagements.
  • Fast attack speed means you land more crits per second than any other class.
The playstyle is to approach from stealth, open with your highest damage skill, and finish before the target can react. If the first engagement does not kill, reposition and wait for cooldowns.

Archer Force Skills

The Archer Force uses a bow for range damage. Key advantages:
  • You stay at range, so you never take melee hits from Metin stones.
  • High attack speed and critical rate still apply.
  • Kiting is easier because you can shoot while moving.
Archer Force is the safer choice for solo farming. It is also strong in PvP because you can maintain distance while dealing consistent damage. The downside is lower burst than Assassin Force.

PvP Performance

Assassin Force is the higher-risk, higher-reward option. In PvP, it relies on burst damage to eliminate targets before they can react. The stealth approach gives you the first strike advantage. If your burst does not kill, you are often vulnerable during cooldowns.

Archer Force is more consistent in PvP. You can maintain distance, deal damage over time, and kite melee classes. The lower burst means fights last longer, but the sustained damage is reliable.

Both forces are vulnerable to Mages with crowd control. Sura magic can root or slow you, making it difficult to close distance or kite. Carry potions that remove debuffs and avoid fighting Mages in the open.

Gear Priorities

For Assassin Force:
  • Weapons with high critical rate and attack speed.
  • Armor with evasion and HP bonuses.
  • Accessories that boost DEX and critical damage.
For Archer Force:
  • Bows with high attack speed.
  • Armor with evasion and CON bonuses.
  • Accessories that boost DEX and range damage.
