Listing an item
Open the Auction House interface through the Müzayede NPC or the hotkey, then drag the item into the listing window. You set three things: a starting price, an optional buy-it-now price, and the auction duration, which can be 1, 6, 12 or 24 hours.
A listing fee is taken from your Yang when you list, and it is not refunded if the item does not sell. Check what comparable items are going for before you set your starting price.
Buying an item
The Auction House shows every current listing, and you can filter by item type, level range and quality. You can place a bid, or pay the buy-it-now price if the seller set one. If someone outbids you, your Yang is returned to you automatically.
What sells well
- Endgame weapons at +8 or higher. Hard to upgrade, high damage, and the price varies a lot from server to server.
- Exclusive shop costumes. Only available through the Item Shop, with limited supply.
- Hard dungeon tickets. Limited farmability and steady demand.
- High tier Metin Stones, tier 7 to 9. Strong bonuses and difficult to farm.
- Upgrade protection stones. Needed for +9 upgrades.
Three approaches the official guide calls out for free-to-play players.
Farm and sell. Upgrade stones, dungeon materials and high tier Metin Stones are in constant demand on most servers. Farm them and sell them rather than using them, until you have saved enough Yang for a bigger purchase.
Arbitrage. Prices tend to fall at peak times such as weekends and after events, when more players are selling. Weekdays and the early morning hours tend to favour the buyer paying more.
Event items. At the start of an event, event items are cheap because everyone is farming them. A week after the event ends they become scarce and expensive.
Beginner mistakes
- Buying without checking the current market price first. Overpriced listings are common.
- Using buy-it-now when you are not in a hurry and the price is not fair.
- Listing desirable items outside peak hours, when fewer bidders are online.
- Selling items below their value just to get Yang quickly. Farm Yang directly if you need it now.
