Talismans are a separate equipment slot that raise your resistance to a chosen element. There are two families. The elemental talismans are the cheap entry point, aimed at characters in the level 20 to 60 range, and they push one resistance stat from +0% to +200%. The Will and Mysterious talismans are the expensive endgame version, sitting at level 105 and level 120, and they add SungMa's values plus a random element bonus. This post lists every talisman the wiki documents, what each upgrade step gives, and what each step costs.
What talismans do
Talismans are equipment worn by all classes that improve your inner strength against certain types of elements. The wiki keeps the abbreviation list and the full bonus list on separate pages, so a talisman can show up under more than one name in guides. Check the item description rather than the name when you are comparing two of them.
The six elemental talismans, level 20 to 60
- Dark Talisman, Power of Darkness
- Earth Talisman, Power of Earth
- Fire Talisman, Power of Fire
- Lightning Talisman, Power of Lightning
- Ice Talisman, Power of Ice
- Wind Talisman, Power of Wind
The level 105 Will talismans
Four talismans sit at level 105, one for each main stat.
- STR Will Talisman, SungMa's (STR)
- RES Will Talisman, SungMa's (RES)
- VIT Will Talisman, SungMa's (VIT)
- INT Will Talisman, SungMa's (INT)
Upgrade Yang runs 1,000,000 for the first step and rises by 500,000 each time, ending at 5,000,000 on the ninth. Will Topaz is the bulk material, starting at 6 and rising by 6 each step to 54. The second material is one copy of the talisman itself at the previous upgrade level, so +1 needs the +0 version, +2 needs the +1 version, and so on up to +8.
The level 120 Mysterious Talisman
The Mysterious Talisman is the top of the tree. It also has ten columns, +0 through +9, and its two rolls are Random SungMa and Random Element. Random SungMa uses the same ladder as the Will talismans: 1 to 2, 1 to 3, 3 to 4, 5 to 6, 7 to 8, 9 to 10, 11 to 13, 14 to 16, 17 to 19, 21 to 24. Random Element is much wider, running +1 to 30%, +1 to 31%, +2 to 32%, +3 to 33%, +4 to 34%, +5 to 36%, then jumping to +6 to 59%, +7 to 62%, +8 to 65% and +9 to 69%.
Its costs are spread across four materials. Upgrade Yang is 450,000 for the first step, then 530,000, 640,000, 770,000, 920,000, 1,110,000, 1,330,000, 1,600,000 and 1,920,000. Will Topaz is 10 per step for the first six steps, then one pearl for each of the last three steps, in the order Shimmering White Pearl, Shimmering Blue Pearl, Shimmering Blood-Red Pearl. Mysterious Stone runs 30, 40, 50, 60, 60, 60, 100, 100 and 200. Talisman Essence runs 1 through 9, one more per step. The talisman itself is consumed at +0 for every step, unlike the Will talismans.
Reading the two families side by side
- Elemental talismans: level 20 to 60, one resistance stat, +0% to +200% in 20 percent steps, 50,000 Yang, Elemental Bloom plus Ornament.
- Will talismans: level 105, one stat's SungMa's value plus a random element bonus, 1,000,000 to 5,000,000 Yang, Will Topaz plus a copy of the talisman.
- Mysterious Talisman: level 120, random SungMa plus a random element bonus with a much wider range, 450,000 to 1,920,000 Yang, Will Topaz, pearls, Mysterious Stone and Talisman Essence.
Which talisman should I buy first? The elemental set. It is the cheap one, it covers a single element for a character in the level 20 to 60 band, and it needs only Elemental Bloom, an Ornament and a copy of the talisman itself.
Do I need a different talisman for each element? The wiki documents one talisman per element, so yes, each element has its own item.
Why does the level 105 talisman need a copy of itself? Each upgrade step consumes one copy of the talisman at the previous upgrade level. That is the main reason the cost climbs faster than the Yang figure suggests.
What is the difference between SungMa's and the Random Element bonus? SungMa's is the fixed value shown in the table for that stat. Random Element is a percentage roll on an element, and its range is what the Random Element row lists. On the Mysterious Talisman the element range is far wider than on the Will talismans.
Do the elemental talismans scale with character level? The upgrade columns are tied to character level. The wiki lists 20, 20, 30, 30, 40, 40, 50, 50, 60, 60, 60 across the eleven columns.
Where do I see what a talisman actually gives? In the item description in your inventory. The wiki keeps abbreviations and bonus definitions on separate pages, so the short name in a guide may not match the text on the item.
